Colman Domingo and John O’Hurley are headed to the Broadway company of Chicago this summer as lawyer Billy Flynn. Domingo will begin a five week engagement on June 14 (through July 18), and O’Hurley, who previously played the suave lawyer in 2006, will take over on July 20, appearing at the Ambassador Theatre through August 21.
Domingo recently appeared in the off-Broadway premiere of Kander and Ebb’s musical The Scottsboro Boys and is set to follow the show to Broadway when it opens this October. His other stage credits include Passing Strange and the recent autobiographical solo show A Boy and His Soul.
O’Hurley is best known for his recurring character J. Peterman from TV’s Seinfeld. He was runner-up in the first season of TV’s Dancing With the Stars and is the current host of Family Feud. O’Hurley has appeared in the Las Vegas production of Spamalot as well as the national tour of Chicago.
Chicago currently stars Ruthie Henshall as Roxie Hart, Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and Terri White as Matron "Mama" Morton.
